Medicare Advantage Plans Open Enrollment does not begin till 11-15-2010.
Private Fee-for-Service Plans are ENDING!!!!

If you have a Medicare Advantage Private-Pay-for-Service, the plan where you can see any Dr. or Hospital you are probably going to lose your coverage effective 1-1-2011.  If you sign up with a Medicare Advantage PPO you will lose your seperate Medicare D plan, especially if you are with Illinois Cares Rx.  A drug plan attached to the PPO may or may not provide you with coverage for your drugs.  You cannot make a mistake!!!

What I am recommending is that you go to a Medicare Supplement like F or the new low priced N plan.  One company I represent has just one question while BlueCross and BlueShield does not ask a single question.   With a Medicare Supplement you are free to have the Medicare D plan of your choice, you have choices.  It is very important that you sit down with me and look at your options.  Do not be sucked into a plan with a cheap price that may not be there next year.  I have learned that we cannot depend upon Medicare Advantage Plans for consistant reliable coverage from year to year.  Now is the time to look for a solution and "bale out".
